Fox said today that the original judges panel for The Four: Battle for Stardom — sans the fired Charlie Walk — will return for Season 2. Fergie also is back as host of the singing competition alongside judges Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor. The premiere is set for 8 PM Thursday, June 7.

The show launched January 4 but made unwanted headlines later that month when judge and record exec Walk was axed from the series amid allegations of past sexual harassment.

Described by Fergie at TCA as “the Hunger Games of singing competition series,” the first season of The Four was Fox’s highest-rated new unscripted series in nearly four years in adults 18-49 and total viewers. Evvie McKinney of Memphis was crowned the champion and is in the studio recording her first single under the panel’s guidance. [Source]

What is an all-star game without some all-star performances?

At this year’s 67th Annual NBA All-Star Game, high energy Grammy winners Pharrell Williams and Fergie are set to take center stage at center court.

For the big game, taking place on Sunday, Feb. 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, first up at the mic will be superstar singer Fergie belting out the U.S. national anthem. It’s the latest in a slew of recent performances by the newly single M.I.L.F.$ singer, who released her second full-length album, Double Dutchess, and her first visual album, Duchess: Seeing Double in September. Fergie has joined Fox’s new singing-competition series “The Four: Battle for Stardom” as host.

“I am very excited and proud to be the host of ‘The Four: Battle for Stardom,’” said Fergie. “This is a unique and modern show format that I believe will set the standard for the next generation of singing competition series on TV. I am looking forward to being by the contestants’ sides during what could be the most important performances of their lives. Along with these amazing panelists whom I know and love, I hope my experiences as a solo artist and as a member of The Black Eyed Peas can help guide them in their quest to make it in the music industry.”

Fergie joins Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and music executive Charlie Walk, who this month were announced as the four judges for the series.

Produced by ITV Entertainment and Armoza Formats, “The Four” was ordered to series in August. The event series, whose first season will consist of six episodes, is a variation on the classic shiny-floor singing competition show, one in which four finalists are named at the beginning of the series, with new contestants competing in subsequent weeks to take one of the coveted four spots.

An eight-time Grammy Award winner, Fergie recently released her second full-length album, “Double Dutchess.” [Source]

Multitasking songstress-turned-shoe designer Fergie has a starring role in Philipp Plein’s spring ’17 ad campaign, cheekily titled “Alice in Ghettoland.”

The series of images were created in collaboration with famed fashion photographer Steven Klein and show the pop star in full glamazon mode, complete with thigh-high gladiator heels, gold chains and sleek ponytail, as she dominates male model Matthew Terry.

With a cold blue filter, the photos feel sexy and dangerous, and highly ironic considering the Wonderland-esque background set.

And if that background looks familiar, you’re not wrong. Klein utilized pieces from Plein’s over-the-top Milan fashion show set, a fantastical neighborhood watched over by a giant garden gnome. (Fergie also performed at the presentation in September.)

The homage to the show set was intended to mark Plein’s Italian swan song. Next he will take his fashion show extravaganza to New York.

But Fergie has been busy with other projects as well lately. Last week she lent her star power to the Two Ten Footwear Foundation’s annual fundraising gala, performing a selection of new and beloved hits to a crowd of more than 2,000 in Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom. The event hit its fundraising goal of $3.5 million, which will go to shoe people in need.

And on Friday, she paid a visit to the “Today” show to perform her new single “Life Goes On.” [Source]

Fergie reveals her long-awaited second solo album “Double Dutchess” is due out in January. The “M.I.L.F. $” hitmaker admits she has already filmed three accompanying music videos for her upcoming release.

“I’m hoping for ASAP. As soon as possible, I’m going for January, that’s when I’m trying,” she told Music Choice. “But first to the year, first couple months, I’m hoping for January. You know everyone’s gotta do the holiday thing and all that but, I’m ready. Ready to let this thing into the universe.”

While fans already knew about her “Life Goes On” video shoot, Fergie revealed that she had filmed videos for “A Little Work”, “Just Like You” and “Nothin”. “I have filmed a few things,” she said, “There’s a special for the video and I did this amazing video with Jonas Akerlund and [his] amazing team. It’s for a song called ‘A Little Work’ that is really big and kind of epic.”

“I got to shoot videos in a lot of different places. I have a video that’s shot in Paris for a song called ‘Just Like You’ about an unhealthy relationship. And I got a shoot in London for a video called ‘Nothin’ with Ben Moore. The song is a very super throwback hip-hop to the ’90s,” she added. [Source]
